COACH Approach to Leadership

Build a Coaching Culture for Organizational Success
When leaders learn how to use some of the techniques used by professional coaches, they can bring out the best in their staff. By using a COACH Approach as one of their leadership tools, leaders empower their team members to solve problems and buy into the solutions – and to use a COACH approach with each other.
The Workshop Overview
This one-day workshop introduces how leaders and managers can bring a COACH Approach to their day-to-day work. Each participant learns how to use the COACH Model (Clarify, Observe, Act, Commit, Honour). Participants experience coaching first-hand, both by being coached and by coaching others to practice using questions in interactions. This workshop builds their confidence and increases their level of comfort in leading others.
Many organizations use this workshop to demonstrate how leaders can use a COACH Approach for decision-making, handling complex relationships and project management. Participants discuss the top 10 pitfalls of coaching and how to prevent them.
Building an effective coaching culture leads to enormous corporate gains. Each participant receives one of our high-quality Coach Approach Journals, which have guides, steps and note-taking space to keep them on track after the workshop has ended.

Before and After the Workshop
In many ways, the follow-up effort after a workshop is just as important as the workshop itself. Your participants will have a great day of learning in the workshop but it’s how they apply that learning back at work, in the real world, that is going to make the difference and boost your ROI.
Setting Up Success before the Workshop
Padraig’s online learning portal is at MyLeadershipTools.com. Participants are given access to pre-workshop materials there, allowing them time to prepare their thinking so they get the greatest benefits possible out of the workshop.
Applying the Learning after the Workshop
To ensure we deliver the most success for your participants, Padraig follows-up the workshop with a number of methods including:
Each participant receives a beautiful COACH Approach journal with guides, steps and note taking space to continue improving their use of the COACH Approach after the workshop.
Follow-up emails reminding participants of different parts of the curriculum and prompting them to think about that content and to apply it in that moment at work.
Each follow-up touch point also includes tools the participant can download to apply the learning.
