Lead with confidence. Navigate change. Build a resilient, adaptable team.
When change happens in the workplace, it can create uncertainty, resistance and disruption—but it also presents an opportunity for growth. This workshop helps leaders not only manage change but lead it effectively, ensuring a smoother transition for themselves, their teams and the organization as a whole.
The Workshop Overview
In this one-day workshop we start by exploring the key drivers of change and the common challenges that make it difficult for employees to adapt. Through real-world case studies and interactive discussions, leaders will gain insights into how to navigate resistance, build engagement, and foster a culture that embraces change rather than fears it.
Next, we introduce practical tools and strategies for assessing an organization’s readiness for change and implementing structures that support long-term success. Participants will walk away with a clear understanding of how to apply proven change models in their workplace and communicate the business value of change to key stakeholders.
Ultimately, this workshop helps leaders take change from a disruption to an opportunity—one that strengthens their teams, drives innovation and positions the organization for success.
What Participants Learn
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to recognize the stages of change models in the workplace and develop implementation and response plans to support themselves and their staff through transitions. Through practical strategies and real-world applications, they will gain valuable insights, including how to:
- Recognize how to apply key change models and when best to use them to achieve envisioned business outcomes.
- Characterize common barriers to change and ways to overcome resistance and build adoption.
- Describe tools and techniques used to assess the organization’s capacity and readiness for change.
- Identify the types of infrastructure an organization can adopt to support change.
- Examine methods for organizations to continually improve their ability to implement change.
- Identify ways to build a culture of change within an organization.
The Workshop Modules
Module 1
Setting the Stage for Change
Leaders begin by grounding themselves in the purpose of change and identifying the key areas that require focus—people, processes, and content. Participants reflect on their current change environment and explore how clarity and intention can reduce resistance and build trust.
Module 2
Understanding Change Culture and Transition
This module explores the difference between change and transition, emphasizing the human side of organizational transformation. Leaders examine their organization’s change culture and use models like Bridges’ Transition Model to navigate the emotional responses that come with change.
Module 3
Leading People Through Change
Using tools like the Kubler-Ross Change Curve and emotional intelligence strategies, participants learn how to recognize and respond to varied reactions to change. The focus is on communication, empathy, and leadership techniques that foster engagement and resilience through each stage of the transition.
Module 4
Change Processes and Action Planning
This final module helps leaders translate insight into action. Participants apply real-world scenarios to analyze change effectiveness, then develop practical, people-centered action plans to lead with confidence, maintain momentum and sustain meaningful results.
Before and After the Workshop
In many ways, the follow-up effort after a workshop is just as important as the workshop itself. Your participants will have a great day of learning in the workshop but it's how they apply that learning back at work, in the real world, that is going to make the difference and boost your ROI.
Setting Up Success before the Workshop
Participants are encouraged to reflect on a recent or upcoming change within their organization—whether it’s a new policy, system, or shift in team dynamics. This reflection will serve as a practical lens for applying workshop concepts and building relevant leadership strategies throughout the session.
To help participants get the most out of the session, Padraig provides access to pre-workshop materials through our online learning portal, MyLeadershipTools.com. These materials invite participants to reflect on a recent or upcoming change in their organization and begin considering their leadership approach. This preparation sets the stage for deeper engagement and practical application during the workshop.
Applying the Learning after the Workshop
To ensure we deliver the most success for your participants, Padraig follows-up the workshop with a number of methods including:
- Each participant receives a participant guide with content and note taking space to review and reflect on Change Leadership after the workshop.
- Follow-up emails reminding participants of different parts of the workshop and prompting them to think about that content and to apply it in that moment at work.
- Each follow-up touch point also includes tools the participant can download to apply the learning.
