An in-depth coached program for Leadership Learning that culminates in a Certificate in Leadership Foundations
How The Network Program Works
It’s a year’s investment for a lifetime return.
A Full Year of Learning
Participants in this one-year program will meet via Zoom once a month—except in July, August and December—for a total of 9 virtual meetings — some as group coaching sessions and some as full-day foundational workshops.
Group Coaching
Five of these meetings will be a 90-minute group coaching session for participants with the dedicated executive coach leading the program.
Full-Day Deep Dives
Four of these meetings will consist of a full-day course that dives deep into a core leadership competency. Each course includes an in-depth personalized leadership profile.
One-to-One Coaching
In addition to the 9 group sessions, participants will be able to schedule a private one-to-one executive coaching session with your coach.
The Network Course Details
The Network includes four foundational leadership courses to ensure graduates have everything the need to be great leaders. These four courses are:

Flexible Leadership
Sometimes leaders can feel that, instead of doing the work they love, they are spending their days managing and solving problems for others. In management, one size never fits all. This course helps participants learn to adjust and “flex” their leadership style to read and successfully manage individuals in the way they would best respond to.
Flexible Leadership is offered in Month 2 of THE NETWORK.
Learn More
So many managers and leaders are disappointed when they get promoted to a leadership role. They used to love their work, and now, instead of doing that work, they spend their days managing others and solving problems for others. That doesn’t have to be the case! Once a leader learns how to figure out the people they’re managing and manage them in the way they best respond to, effective leadership becomes a natural part of their success.
Leading others effectively means moving from a one-size-fits-all approach (“this is my leadership style”) to providing direction, motivation and development in a way that aligns with each individual. The happiest, most successful, most confident managers and leaders notice the needs of their employees and flex their leadership styles accordingly. That may seem daunting, but these are important skills that participants develop with this course.
Teamwork Fundamentals
This course teaches participants to observe and assess their own approach to teamwork and gain personalized insight into working with others more effectively. It empowers them to shape new, more productive behaviours, which increases productivity and sets a strong foundation for great teamwork.
Teamwork Fundamentals is offered in Month 4 of THE NETWORK.

How well do managers work as peer team members on a leadership team and still help their staff work as a cohesive team? This workshop helps participants become a better teammate, whether that’s on a project team or a management team. It also gives them the foundations to lead a team, by integrating the model from Lencioni’s book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, into their work teams.
In the workshop, participants will assesses their own approach to teamwork, gain personalized insights on how they can more effectively work with others and master the critical behaviours and interpersonal skills needed to work effectively in a team while leading another team.

Productive Conflict
Workplace conflict is inevitable. To deal with it before it becomes a problem, we teach participants to become aware of conflict behaviours (theirs and those of others), curb destructive patterns and resolve conflict effectively. In this course they will learn that conflict can become productive, improving workplace results and relationships.
Productive Conflict is offered in Month 6 of THE NETWORK.
Learn More
Wherever there are groups of people working, you’ll find workplace conflict. It may not be visible but you’ve no-doubt experienced it. It might be a feeling you have with a colleague, or some tension with a peer or someone whose role intersects with yours. Perhaps you feel like someone has conflict with you but they’re not acknowledging it and you don’t know how to raise it — and it’s becoming a problem.
This workshop helps your participants improve self-awareness around conflict behaviours (their own and the behaviour others) and learn how to deal with it productively. Rather than focus on a step-by-step process for conflict resolution, participants learn to curb destructive behaviours so that conflict can become more productive, ultimately improving workplace results and relationships.
Agile Leadership
The best leaders use Emotional Intelligence to respond effectively and efficiently to challenging or problematic situations. We coach participants to move beyond their comfort zone in adapting to a social or emotional situation and to solve the problem at hand by employing an agile approach to workplace interactions.
Agile Leadership is offered in Month 8 of the NETWORK.
Learn More
Do you find new managers and leaders in your organization often react or respond to issues on instinct? For example, when a challenge arises or a problem erupts, or when an employee comes to them with this type of issue or that type of issue, they tend to react the same way each time? Do some things “push their buttons”? Do others take the energy right out of them? Agile leaders use Emotional Intelligence to adapt how they respond to situations they are facing. Participants in The Network learn how to do that in this workshop.
Emotional Intelligence refers to how effectively and efficiently one can adapt to a social or emotional situation to solve the problem at hand — because an approach that works well in one situation won’t always work the same way in the next. Agile leaders use Emotional Intelligence to modify how they respond to situations they are facing. Participants in The Network learn how to do that in this workshop.

We recommend we schedule this program on the same day of each month (ie. the Third Thursday) and have each session start at the same time.
